HP has provided technology to UK forces which allows NATO-compatible information sharing at the frontline — ensuring our soldiers, sailors and airmen can do their jobs. HP is leading the ATLAS consortium to deliver the Defence Information Infrastructure (Future) DII(F) – a vital part of the MOD's initiative to improve intelligence gathering and exploitation.

HP’s air mission planning tool, AMPA, allows aircrew to rapidly plan highly complex missions, visualising all critical elements on an interactive 3D viewer before getting airborne. Planning simplified, decisions made faster, complexity turned into mission success.

HP Defence & Security has officially launched its sponsorship of Team Army, the not-for-profit organisation that raises funds for Army sports and service charities.
In a new strip bearing the HP logo, the Army football went into action March 16th against the RAF in a match that saw inter-service rivalry played out on the turf of Aldershot Town Football Club.
“Every day we provide support for the Armed Forces with technology and services that reach from the back-office to frontline operations so sponsoring Team Army is another great way to show our support, “ said Huw Owen, Managing Director of HP Defence & Security.
Mr Owen added, “As one the UK’s principal defence companies, we are proud of our partnership with Team Army as a demonstration of our commitment to the Armed Forces, whether they are on the battlefield or the sports field.”
The Army was held to a 1-1 draw by an RAF team that included former Manchester City player Lee Crooks who is now a gunner in the RAF Regiment. Post-match, the sportsmanship continued with a reception for both teams and officials where players received team caps, colours and trophies.
In the previous week, the Army was hosted by the Royal Navy at HMS Temeraire that saw the Army team take home the silverware for a 0-1 victory at this annual fixture.

HP supplies the core technology to the UK Hydrographic Office for digital mapping and charting.
